Hi Everyone! Tom here. Just wanted to reveal the secret behind how band director, Matt Drase, converts the marching band from complex field formations to straight lines. He walks lightly and carries a big stick! Seriously, he, Melissa and the other staff have worked very hard to rearrange the half time show into something presentable on the streets of Washington DC, training and refining the kids street marching skills, all while continuing to teach their normal load of courses. ReplyDeleteMatt is an amazing director. He's more focused on the process of being great than the end result. The result is greatness no matter what the end result is. That's what makes him a great teacher. Thank you Matt for sharing your talents with our children. It will make them better people because of it. Oh, and keep carrying that big stick.
